Let me set the stage. I am a White Anglo-Saxon Protestant Male Heterosexual Retiree Navy Veteran who joined the Republican party during the tenure of Richard Nixon and resigned in disgust in 2021. That gives me a certain imprimatur to speak about the aforementioned Republican Party.
As I observe the ultra-conservative political servants of the evangelical Christian right, it appears that the party formerly known as the Republicans should adopt a new name. I submit that they should become the Fantasy, Fiction, and Falsehood Fellowship (4F). Their new symbol, replacing the solid and slow moving, yet powerful, elephant of the GOP, is the Wise Monkeys. You know them … Hear No Evil. See No Evil. Speak No Evil. These little fellows portray the worst aspects of the far right, monkeying around with the Constitution and making up their own version of current events from whole cloth. For, in their minds, they need speak no truth, see nothing they do not wish to see, hear no facts, and cover their … selves in excuses and vitriol.
They seem intent in enforcing their beliefs on the population out of a deep-seated fear that a self-perceived superior white majority is being deliberately replaced by 'lesser peoples' who are 'not the same' as they. While they have every right, under the Constitution, to their own opinion, they are intent on telling the rest of us that their opinion must be ours.
It appears that they live by the maxim: "If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie." Oh, this was also the maxim of Joseph Goebbels. If you don't know who he was … Google him.
A few quick points, from the 2020 Census: The purely white population is 61.6% and has declined 8.6% over the last ten years. The combined African American, Asian, and Hispanic populations are approximately 29.4%, having grown by double digits in the same ten years.
Is the white population being deliberately replaced? Only in the minds of the 4F. Is our national demographic changing? Without a doubt, and, given the benefits brought by the vast preponderance of the immigrants in education, culture, family values, and diversity, that change should be welcomed with open arms.
I submit that the true danger to our way of life is not from the liberal left, the immigrant, abortion, the LGBTQ+ community, or any other of the false flags the 4F waves from the sand hill upon which they stand, but from the 4F themselves.
To the rest of us … those 'not like them', heed this warning. 'Be afraid. Be very afraid'.
